Our latest on which trusts and systems are feeling the most covid pressure on their bed base. https://www.hsj.co.uk/acute-care/exclusive-new-areas-see-rapidly-rising-covid-pressure-on-hospitals/7028972.article
Bed occupancy in Yorkshire and GM is rising, while starting to drop off in Lancashire and the Mersey system. But also the Midlands Derbyshire and Staffordshire's rates are growing fast.
Meanwhile, Pennine Acute now has the highest bed occupancy rate, surpassing Barnsley. Look out also for increases in smaller trusts like Gateshead Health FT.
But Barnsley Hospital FT peaked in the last week at 40% of its GA beds occupied with covid patients but this is falling fast. Similar was seen with Blackpool Teaching Hospitals FT.
Also, for those who have been patiently waiting, I've got round to saving those trust and STP bed occupancy heat charts as searchable PDFs.
