1. Since February, I've been trying to communicate the idea that #COVID19 is likely to leave long-term harm in its wake. This moving film gives an insight into what people are now living with.
2. Dr Fauci says the latest NIH studies suggest 25% to 35% of those infected may suffer long-term symptoms. 3. The British Society for Immunology warns there may be long-term consquences for the immune system, which may impact things like cardiac health or cancer. https://twitter.com/adamhamdy/status/1326296652823613440?s=20
6. @long_recovery is trying to understand the phenomenon better. https://twitter.com/long_recovery/status/1326979125391847426?s=20
7. To summarise:
We know something is causing #LongCovid .
We don't know what that is.
We know asymptomatic does not mean unaffected.
We know children suffer #LongCovid
We don't know how many.

9. And we should support all those who are currently struggling with this difficult illness.
