VG says the player has been put in isolation in his hotel room, with today’s training session cancelled.

The rest of the squad is following UEFA’s protocol in these cases and adhering to instructions from local health authorities in Norway.
To VG, the Norwegian FA’s press officer Svein Graff said the player wants to inform his family about the positive test before they read about it in the media and because of that they’ll only provide more information about the case later today.
The squad will have to adhere to instructions from Norwegian health authorities, who effectively cancelled the friendly against Israel due to a positive case in Israel’s squad. They’re likely to insist on isolation for at least part of the squad, if not everyone.
Norwegian FA confirms it’s vice-captain Omar Elabdellaoui who has tested positive, after experiencing some mild symptoms overnight. Rest of squad await confirmation about what, if any, restrictions will be put in place for them and if Norway’s two next games will go ahead.
