Some progressives/liberals would see this simply as “dumb people rallying during pandemic”

instead of “how can this 1 person become a magnet for many?”

Or “what does this one person do best that we can imitate to win our cause?”

Or “why r we losing too often & this guy isn’t?” https://twitter.com/aisyahmutahar/status/1327095462055223296
If u replied my tweet with “agama lah” then the next questions would be:

there r other figures/politicians who use religion to win their cause, but why don’t they attract people the way HRS does?

What does HRS do with religion? why can millions of people relate to what he does?
Hence, if faith/religion is so important for most citizens of this country, should progressives harness religion to win?

If yes, in what way so that you aren’t betraying your core principles?

If not, then what is the alternative? what’s more appealing than religion?
If you replied with “ukhuwah”, then it’s a top-notch point.

Ukhuwah/brotherhood among his followers is a resultant of HRS’ activism.

The next questions would be: “how do progressives build an equivalent emotional bond and grow? what haven’t we done? what did we do wrong?”
