A little talk on the new ASi Macbooks:
This is a breakthrough in the laptop industry. Why you would ask, there are already Windows ARM laptops, you would say.
Welp... Windows is still totally unoptimized for ARM and the same goes about the programs.

Why MS didn't succeed?
Well, they tried but Windows is like Android - can't push every manufacturer to do the same + Windows has a lot of legacy software and compatibility just because it's the most used OS.

And only Apple could take the risk - they control their own hardware and software + they have enough market share so companies and devs would translate their apps to work on ASi.
And one more reason - Apple is very popular and companies like Adobe won't let something to replace

Will the performance be better than previous MBs - Yes, definitely.
Will the performance be better than PC laptop - Yeah and no. Depends on the machine.
Should I buy it - it's a first-gen product, so no. Unless all of your software works (and it's optimized) for ARM.

Btw the MacBooks will have the best battery life on any laptop
