And now I see why Polymega blocked everyone from commenting.....

Instead of hitting their PROMISED & very delayed Nov 2020 release shipping date. They've delayed the launch and shipping to Feb. 2021. W.T.F. O_o;

As I always say, I'm a patient man, but I'm not infinitely patient
This thing was supposed to launch last fall, then earlier this spring, then this summer then finally Nov. 2020 as a FINAL we're not going to miss this launch date.

Oops we ****ed up, we meant to say Feb 2021.

Which is also ridiculous because beta units are out there, so why
the delay?

When they start their update by talking about debunking hoaxes and "pot stirrers" it's like come on, you're professionals, act like it. Don't pander to the crowd and get to brass tacks

No wonder this has been a ****-show from day 1.

Right now, I just want the system
I paid for and have been waiting patiently for a very, very long time (and had hoped to spend some time with over the holidays). Apparently not. =/

I think after they release their light gun, I will hesitantly follow the product after that and see what happens, maybe if a PS2
or DC adapter launches I might get them, but that's a big if.

There have been so many delays that it's just ridiculous.

Even the crazy money that Analog asks, they still manage to release their product in decent amounts of time, so for all the crap Hyperkin gets too, my Retron5
was slightly delayed, but has worked pretty good for all of the years I've owned it and I didn't have to wait over 2+ years to get it.

Holy crap Polymega, you guys should have hired someone with supply chain experience, for the love of pete.
After reading their update my takeaway is this. They are placating to a retail partner who may or may not have placed a large order (walmart?/amazon?) & the people who pre-ordered years ago are getting shafted as a result because they are being spineless & don't know how to run a
business correctly. Aka telling said retailer "we need to honor our obligation to our customers who supported us first, then will fulfill ALL of your outstanding orders will us by THIS target date" like any good business person SHOULD do

Apparently they needed to hire a business
manager as well. Starting a company with a group of engineers is good and all, but when you don't have the business sense to do supply chain and interaction in the retail markets, then don't.

They went into the retail market WAY to soon. It was done solely to get extra capital
so they could fund the team & the project through the year. Now since they've taken that money in advance, they are now on the hook, same with the money they've floated from the thousands of people who they've essentially had a interest free loan from these last few years & whose
money has supported this project. And allowed them to shop it around at trade shows get interest from partners, get more capital & interest & investment. I hope the folks at home have been watching the bouncing ball all of this time to see where this story has been going...
This is one of those situations where I just want it to be over, like a multi-year Kickstarter that never seems to die or finish or just fizzles away one day.

This is essentially why I don't support KS projects unless it's by someone who has a track record or I know very well.
One thing I learned from KS is neophytes with a dream and no business background are NOT the people you want to give thousands/millions of dollars to and expect them to product a product in a decent amount of time.

Time and time again they've shown they can't do it all, they
code, they do art or music, they aren't writers (keeping people updated on the project) or business people or good with money.

But I digress.

Here's to one day actually having this blasted thing in my hands, I know it's real, I just wished I could get mine, at some point. Feb?
