People keep saying your camera is how you really look because your mirror is "flipped." Your mirror is how you really look. Yes your mirror is flipped, but how you look in the mirror is how you look. Camera lens distorts your face. Look at thread below to feel good: https://twitter.com/jarvisr0se1/status/1326937795085078528
The front camera is always lying, the lie may work for some people and it may not for a lot of people. Camera lens size, focal length distorts your face, and the closer it is the worse. So when you take a selfie the camera is wild close/telling it's worst lie
Here is another example, this is focal length, the closer the camera is, you'll see your face get distorted, ears seen less or not at all, that's why a lot of the time without noticing subconsciously turn their heads to try and get an ear to show
Here are two very good examples of how you look in the mirror vs how you look in selfies. In the first photo, look how different the face is when the camera is close, and look how it is when far. I flipped the last photo/added text to show what people mean by "mirror is flipped"
Another example I found. So feel good about yourself. If you good in the mirror, that is how you look. It being flipped doesn't mean anything, the camera is what's lying.
