One year ago, I took a big, deep breath and walked in the front doors of the #yyccc Municipal building having no earthly clue what I was getting myself into.
Since then, I have come a long way - I have become more patient, kind, critical, and driven towards a better future for my home than I ever was before. I feel lucky and honoured to work with this crew, and that, even on the worst days, I always wanna get back up and try again.
Even the small wins feel really big to me, because I get to bear witness and stand in awe of how amazIng and brilliant and nihilistically funny each of these folks are as we go about the daily grind.
It’s feels so rare to land in a role you know was exactly what you wanted and needed in the moment, but that’s exactly what this was, and is.
