We often highlight the verses of Qur'an which says, do not even say uff to your parents.
But why do we forget to mention what it is said in Surah An-Nisha, 4:135?

There is no doubt that Islam gives parents a very high status, and they are to be shown respect by their children. But that doesn't give license to parents to abuse them verbally or "MENTALLY".
Why do we forget what Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said about parenting?
Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Fear Allah, the Almighty, and be fair and just to all your children. Seek the testimony of another person, other than me. I will not testify to an act of injustice.” [Sahih Bukhari]
Why do we forget that prophet Muhammadﷺ also said (to a man who never kissed his own children), "He who does not show mercy (towards his children), no mercy would be shown to him."
Please do think about how you treat your children.
