When I accidentally Maced myself...
So I love to garden, every spring I get very excited to grow something new. This year I decided I would grab some new pepper types and take a stab at a new challenge.
All was well. I had grabbed some Habaneros and was excited for grilled peppers in my future. Except, when I got home I realized I grabbed the wrong plants and instead I had Ghost peppers. With a shrug of my shoulders I planted them to give it a shot.
Knowing nothing but ghost peppers are super duper hot, I planted them and boy did they produce. One day while weeding around them I brushed one and thought nothing of it, but man when I wiped the sweat off my face I felt it like 1000 suns burning.
So that made me scared of them, something that hot is scary. Time goes by and I watch the grow and keep thinking, “I really need to find something to do with these” but summer turned to fall and fall to a hard freeze and sadly I never used my ghost peppers.
So I fired up the lawn mower for one last round in 2020. I’m about half way thru the yard when I buzz over that ghost pepper pile and plants. I was consumed with the fires of 
suns. My throat got tight and I began to cough, my eyes instantly watered and I came to a halt.

The cloud of mower deck induced mace haunted me for several feet and what felt like an eternity. Finally I was able to resume mowing laughing at myself the entire time.
And that boys and girls was the time I Maced myself with a lawn mower and some never used ghost peppers...
