I do not approve of people selling themselves as teachers of singing and acting if they do not have training. I don't care about experience. If Sally's sung since she was six but was never taught vocal health I wouldn't trust her to teach me to sing.
Make sure who you're hiring is qualified.
Like LEGITIMATELY cHECK PEOPLE'S CREDENTIALS....You wanna wake up with vocal nodes from screaming the wrong way?
and this is why when people ask me to teach them to sing all I can offer are the exercises I do myself to warm up. I won't let someone pay me to teach them full out. I haven't even been properly trained to teach yet.
