ICYMI this afternoon: Ontario has surpassed worst-case scenario for November cases and some new modelling was released. Things are about to get very bad. New modelling says in ~4 weeks we will have up to 6500 cases a day.
We'll also reach a critical threshold for ICU beds in next 2 weeks, where surgeries will start being cancelled. Hospital capacity to treat non-COVID issues will be threatened.

In fact, at the rate we're going now, our numbers will likely exceed several European jurisdictions that are currently under strict lockdowns. For that to happen requires 5% daily case growth.

I know it feels like the pandemic is over, I have felt the same I recent months. But its not and we are actually in a VERY dangerous and delicate situation right now.
Anyways this is a PSA to however many followers I have here. Stop planning and going to dinner parties and events where people from multiple households will be present. Stay within a small bubble if you can, ideally your own household.
We have been told today that changing the direction we are headed in is not “insurmountable”. So let’s all take action and protect each other, especially those most vulnerable.
