Cesar Chavez. I continued working in politics for different organizations and people until very recently. The point is that I've always been very liberal, or as I call it, very leftist working for organizations that fight for environmental causes, to racial diversity, 2/

to LBGTQ causes and even labor rights causes. My family has known this, but they are very conservative. We’ve always had robust discussions and disagreements but always got along without problems. I was always the peace maker even because one sister, Christine, 3/

doesn’t talk with Cathy (the youngest) nor my mother. I always spoke with everyone and never had a problem.

Come Trumpism in 2015. Both of these sisters had recently married different men who were mouthbreathing Republicans with confederate flags and all. 4/

These two sister bought into Trumpism very easily. We continued our normal banter, but it began to take on a nefarious edge with each of them getting more and more angry and hate-filled as the campaign moved forward.

Christine fully bought into the Qanon stuff. 5/

She believed that the Ping-Pong Pizza Restaurant was running a pedophilia ring out of the basement where they would abduct children, rape them, terrorize them and eventually kill them so people like the Clintons and Obamas could drink their blood for some supposed 6/

chemical that would keep them young forever. (No kidding this is a Qanon conspiracy belief). I called her out on it one time when I had finally had enough of her calling me a liar, a pedophile enabler, a murderer supporter an so many other horrid things. Well, she lost it 7/

and disowned me at that point. Told me I was dead to her. Told me she never wanted to talk to me again. All that kind of stuff. I gave her an out and told her to either apologize or fuck off. Her response was that she chose to fuck off. Since, she has turned her two adult 8/

daughters (also Trump and Qanon supporters) against me. No support. Not even hospital visits for me when I had horrid surgeries. Nothing.

Cathy, on the other hand, said she couldn’t support my support for BLM since I was a cop and her ex-in laws had been cops too. 9/

I tried to explain what I had seen when I worked to no avail. She ended up calling me a liar about Trump, racism and BLM. She too said I was dead to her. Our mother lives with her, and my mother has told me that Cathy has even told her that she refuses to ever let me know 10/

when my 81 year old mother is sick, dying or dead. Why? Because her husband says I am a liberal who cares more about black lives that the president’s. Wow.

So, as you see, Trumpism has destroyed my family. I have a half sister who I love dearly. She doesn’t talk to any of 11/

them either. Her and I have a beautiful relationship. And, yes, she despises Trump too. But, that doesn’t matter as we’ve always had a connection like twins just knowing when one another is in distress.
