Consent is giving people the information to make an informed decision, it exists outside of sexual violence. If you have information that you are withholding from someone to get what you want from them & prevent them from making a different decision... that is not consent

If I tell you that I will loan you $600 on the condition that you pay it back and you say you will pay it back, knowing that you won’t, you have violated my consent bc I would not have given you that money if I had known you weren’t going to pay it back.

If I tell you that you can stay on my couch for two weeks bc you’ve told me that you have a place to go after those two weeks, but you didn’t... it is not consensual when you then say “well actually I have to stay for a month.” You have violated my consent

And if I tell you that I am interested in a relationship and am having sex with you because I want a relationship and you DON’T and you’re not honest about that, you are violating my consent
