November's been a banner month for questionable journalistic decisions, but running "We’re past the point of no return on global warming" as a headline has to be closing in on spot in the top 10
The full quote, as is frequently the case, is more tempered:

"Humanity 'is beyond the point-of-no-return when it comes to halt the melting of the permafrost using greenhouse gas cuts as the single tool,' Jørgen Randers, PhD, [says]."
When you say things like "beyond the point of no return" in a clickbait headline, you're promoting the image of climate change is a giant cliff we're about to drive off, as opposed to a sliding scale toward incrementally worse outcomes.
Climate change denial isn't what keeps me up at night. That's a known issue. You can work around it.

What worries me the most are climate nihilists. People who believe in climate change but think "we're doomed." So they go full Isaiah 22:13.
Someone please explain to me how we're supposed to build a meaningful coalition to make real progress when the discourse gets to this level.
