In 2019, the SAR territory of Hong Kong in China erupted in violent riots. Many in the West believed they were ‘freedom fighters’, as they advocated for Hong Kong independence from China, as well as other unrealistic or vague and empty demands. #standwithHKPF #HKPF

We watched in horror as allegedly ‘trustworthy’ Western news outlets, such as The Guardian and The Independent, would carefully edit short clips of the riots in order to demonise the police and paint the rioters as sympathetic victims. #standwithHKPF #HKPF #HongKongPolice
However, I watched many videos from outlets such as http://truth-hk.com (link in bio on carrd) and TVB news that showed full and unedited clips where the police were attacked by rioters, and many of them only used force to defend themselves at the very last minute.
