There is tremendous demand for takes which locate Democrats’ difficulty assembling a governing majority as essentially a technical problem requiring a technical fix that doesn’t require the audience for the takes to give up on anything that’s emotionally significant to them.
Did Democrats really gain ground with college graduates all across the country while losing ground with non-college voters of all races because they didn’t do organizing right? Or is the message optimized for one group rather than the other?
