🧪 Tank mixes are a great way of saving time , saving labour , grabbing a weather window , reducing turf wear with multi sprayings , enhancing result in some cases.
BUT Please remember :
🌱 is target area the same ? , foliar / foliar or soil / soil. If not you may compromise some or all of the mix.
🌱are the products tank mix compatible ( physical compatibility) ? A number of manufacturers carry out extensive tank mix trials on their products which maybe included in the label if not technical websites / literature but If unsure jar test first to ensure mix stays in
solution with no issues such as crystallisation , separation , thickening etc.
⚠️❗️ a VERY important one .......even though they are jar tested compatible , as a mix are they turf safe ( biological safe ) ? The formulation of one product may cause issues when applied with another.
☀️ ☔️ Are they safe in prevailing weather conditions ?
💦 water volumes ..... Follow the water volumes ranges suggested on the individual products , I.e. product A 400-800 litres water , product B minimum 500 litres , your mix must be 500-800 litres water.
🌱 finally the tank mix order is important .....
Recommended sequence

1. Partly fill the spray tank with water, as per label directions, to at least 70% full.
Commence agitation and maintain agitation during the mixing and spraying process.
2. Add any Water Conditioners.

3. Add any Wettable Powders (WP) or Dry Flowable (DF) products.
4. Add any Water Dispersible Granules (WDG) products.

5. Add any Flowable Liquids (FL) or Suspension Concentrates (SC).
6. Add any Emulsifiable Concentrates (EC).

7. Add any Aqueous Concentrate (AC) or Soluble Liquids (SL).
8. Add Adjuvant if required.

9. Fill the remainder of the spray tank with water.
Use the spray mix within 24 hours of preparation (unless otherwise stated on label).
Always read the product label for the manufacturer’s tank mix recommendations and to determine individual product compatibility options and correct mixing orders for individual products.
