This is going to be difficult to explain in English, but I still have a hard time with the word shloch as it haunted me as a kid. It’s a word still used by Amazigh people, but used against me in Israel to mean dirty.
Did you know what the word schloch mean:
OK! I found the origin of the word. The proper spelling is chleuh. How it turned into a slur, is still unknown to me but my mother insisted that it's not a slur, but what we are which still keeps me confused.

It seems the word had transformed into derogatory meaning in Yiddish to mean primitive.
