Last night was amazing. G was so happy and we got to see him surrounded by the people he loves and the fans he cherishes.
I have some thoughts about that night and will hopefully finish a thread about it soon, but first I have a different topic on my mind.

This came to mind because an old moot of mine used to be a waanjai, then she became a solo stan, then she turned into a TSS. The transition was sad, and she even blocked me for being a waanjai. I don't mind honestly. But it got me thinking.
I believe we all know that solo stans+

and TSS's are different. Solo stans aren't bad. But for anyone new around here who is trying to decide how they want to support one or both of the boys, I'd like to lay it out a bit to think over.

They mention nothing about hating people the idol cares about or spreading negativity or even acting like you know what's best for the idol. It's simply supposed to be passionate support.

toxic addition, plain and simple.
Don't get me wrong, it's 100% okay to be a solo stan. It's okay to only love G or only love M. It's also okay not to follow their partner or support their partner individually.

It's okay to only love one, but the other is part of their lives. To be a good supporter we must accept the people they love, even if we don't want to watch or follow them.
It means not saying bad things about them. It means being respectful.+

It means acknowledging the value of them in each other's lives. They are human beings, not entertainment. TT is entertainment, not MG.
So we aren't shippers, we are supporters. Likewise, even if you don't care about their partner, it's possible to support their happiness+

in general instead of taking an active interest in their relationship. Hell, you can even privately dislike their partner, you're allowed to have emotions, but respect is about not trashing the people your idol loves.

or not support whoever you want. But in the end, it boils down to this: It costs nothing to be kind.
Show your idol and those they love that kindness. Because if you're a true fan you just want them to be happy, not to fulfill some kind of fantasy or entertainment for yourself.
