Boring. Imam Ahmad Rida Khan made takfir on only 4 Deobandis.
1) Rashid Gangohi
2) Ashraf Thanwi
3) Khalil Saharanpuri
4) Qasim Nanotvi
Show me proof he made takfir on any other Deobandi. As for the statement he's attacking, this has been answered by Shaykh Mubeen Raza... https://twitter.com/AthariCritic/status/1326955100963790851

A quotation of Al-Imam Ahmad Rida رحمہ اللہ has been attacked in which he said (in al-Malfuzaat):
"If giving Divinity was in the power of Allah then He would give it to the Prophet ﷺ."
Response:
"If giving Divinity was in the power of Allah then He would give it to the Prophet ﷺ."
Response:
The context here is regarding the topic of whether or not Allah has given all good qualities and virtues to Rasoolullah ﷺ or not. If we say He has, then divinity is also a quality, so now the question arises, has Allah given divinity to the Prophet ﷺ too?
The answer is that giving divinity is an impossibility which doesn’t come under the power of Allah, and therefore it was not given to the Prophet ﷺ. The Creed of Ahlus Sunnah (Ash’aris and Maturidis) is that Mustaheelaat (impossibilities) do not come under the Power of Allah.
There being more than one God is impossible, therefore it doesn't come under the power of Allah to give divinity or make another God.
Al-Imam Ahmad Rida here is giving this very answer that it is Muhaal/Mustaheel (impossible) for divinity to be given to the Prophet.
Al-Imam Ahmad Rida here is giving this very answer that it is Muhaal/Mustaheel (impossible) for divinity to be given to the Prophet.
He emphasised that this is Muhaal by basing this impossibility on a Muhaal (impossible) premise.
The style of emphasising that something is Muhaal (impossible) by basing it on a Muhaal premise is found in the Holy Qur'an itself. Allah says:
The style of emphasising that something is Muhaal (impossible) by basing it on a Muhaal premise is found in the Holy Qur'an itself. Allah says:
إنْ كانَ لِلرَّحْمَنِ ولَدٌ فَأنا أوَّلُ العابِدِينَ
'If al-Rahman had a son, I would be the first to worship him.' (az-Zukhruf: 81)
In other words, it is impossible for al-Rahman to have a son, and so I only worship Allah and do not worship anyone as the ‘son of Allah’.
'If al-Rahman had a son, I would be the first to worship him.' (az-Zukhruf: 81)
In other words, it is impossible for al-Rahman to have a son, and so I only worship Allah and do not worship anyone as the ‘son of Allah’.
al-Imam al-Razi writes in Tafsir of this verse, ‘This statement is a Qadiyyah Shartiyyah Haqqah (a true conditional proposition) comprising of a false premise and a false conclusion, because ‘al-Rahman having a son’ is false, and ‘me being first to worship that son’ is also false
What is intended here is that if al-Rahman had a son, I would be the first to worship that son, because when an Emperor has a son, just as it is necessary for the emperor’s servant to serve the emperor, it is also necessary upon him to serve the emperor’s son.
Indeed, this structure/composition of sentences does not denote accepting the existence of a son for Allah.
So in the quotation of Al-Imam Ahmad Rida, all he is saying is that if it had been possible to give divinity, it would have been given to the Prophet (who was given every quality by Allah).
However, since it is an impossibility for divinity to be given to anyone, the Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم was not given divinity.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with this at all as we have proven from the example given in the Holy Quran itself.

It is rhetorically effective in emphasising the impossibility of something to attach it to something impossible. For example, saying 'If there were two gods, there would be chaos' is more emphatic than saying 'a second god doesn’t exist'.
As Allah Almighty says:
لَوْ كَانَ فِيهِمَا آلِهَةٌ إِلَّا اللَّهُ لَفَسَدَتَا
‘If there were any gods other than Allah, there would be chaos in the heavens and earth’ (al-Anbiya: 22)
لَوْ كَانَ فِيهِمَا آلِهَةٌ إِلَّا اللَّهُ لَفَسَدَتَا
‘If there were any gods other than Allah, there would be chaos in the heavens and earth’ (al-Anbiya: 22)
Here, al-Imam Ahmad Rida is merely emphasising that
1. Giving Divinity is impossible - if anyone was to be given it, it would've been the Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم as he was given all positive qualities and virtues. Since he hasn't been given it, no one has.

2. The Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم has been granted every virtue and excellence that is possible to be attained by creation. The only things he was not given are those which aren't governed by Divine Power.
This emphasises the greatness of the Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم and shows how his virtues are beyond our imagination.
May Allah keep us on the path of the great Imams of the Ahlus Sunnah like al-Imam al-Razi and al-Imam Ahmad Rida رحمھما اللہ.
