Thread of Haikyuu characters as footballers:

Starting off with Asahi x Giroud. Not brilliant by himself but a good player with the right teammates. Bottles chances a bit and went on a famous goal/point drought. Mostly rated cause he's hot

Tsuki x Mertesacker. Tall, calm, intelligent but not overly athletic. Reliable and a leader in defence.

Hinata x Vardy. A pace abuser who has too much energy at any given point in time. Late bloomers.

Kenma x Özil. One of the best in the game. Calm and analytical. Very casual body language, the game is too easy for them.

Bokuto x Aubameyang. One of the best in the game and they know it. Arrogant but in a confident way. Positivity merchants.

Wakatoshi x Ronaldo. One of the best ever attackers. Rivals hate him for overflowing arrogance. Will always score against you. Unbeatable in the air.

Yamaguchi x Calhanoglu. Not exactly an elite level player but reliable. Set piece/serve merchants.

Sugawara x Mkhitaryan. Underrated playmakers who are no longer relevant. Very talented and they get along with teammates very well. But too many players better than them.

Nishinoya x Beckenbauer. Top, top libero. Any ball that comes their way will get swept away. Insanely good technical ability. Very good at creating chances as well.

Daiichi x Adams. No nonsense defenders. Underrated technical ability. Finely polished in the basics, will join the odd attack. One of the best captains ever.

Kageyama x De Bryune. Robotic playmakers. Not ashamed of spamming the same kind of attacks. They barely show any emotions. Gets compared to a better playmaker a lot.

Lev x Crouch. Height merchants to sum it up. Very cheery personality. Comically sloppy/average in anything that doesn't involve their height giving them an advantage.

Oikawa x Messi. There is absolutely nothing these guys aren't good at. World-class attackers whilst also being world-class playmakers. Dangerous on a set piece/serve. Will bring the best of any team. They ARE the system. But will always bottle nationals.

Kuroo x Lewandowski. Simply world-class. Serious on the pitch/court, very carefree off of it. Tall, peng and always upto something.

Nekomata sensei x Sir Alex. Incharge of a historically succesful team that plays in red. Can take a decent player and turn them into something special in a world-class system. Has a famous rivalry with another coach.

Ukai x Wenger. No one knew who he was until he came and took the team to glory. Very good judge of players and nurtures youngsters very well. Has a famous rivalry with another coach.
