A request and challenge to people in the US digital govt community (from over the pond).

Transition means it's a perfect moment to ask big questions about digital at the Federal govt. What are the priorities now? How did the Obama era innovations like USDS work out?
I'm far away over the sea, but I think it would be incredibly healthy if people with thoughtful views wrote some proper essays, articles, arguments about what should happen next. And what just happened over the last 5-10 years.
I know from personal experience that these debates, especially in machinery of govt, will tend to happen in darkened rooms. But wouldn't those rooms be better informed if there was a lively, clear debate out here?
Not only would this be good for the US's next steps on the road to digital era government, but it would be massively helpful for people in other countries to see this debate play out. There's loads of governments wondering what to do next, and lots of people too. @TPSDigitalAge
I know that writing such pieces would cause pain and stepping on toes in ways I can never understand because I'm an outsider. But this is a genuine appeal - if you have views on what should or shouldn't happen next, write them up. Let's bring the conversation out of the shadows.
