Here we end up with a model of consent that is only valid if it rests on a shared premise regarding a priorly agreed-upon future for the relationship- how far does this go? How much of the nature of the relationship has to be pre-determined? What form should the agreement take?
The pressure exerted on ppl by this standard of responsibility is not only anti-erotic- because it kills the ambiguity and tension that makes sex thrilling- it dissociates ppl from their actual feelings and desires by forcing them into an armour of contractual obligations
All of this is ultimately in the service of evading that sex can be consensual and still bad, unhealthy, manipulative or selfish- but this implies an expansion of moral judgement into the sexual realm which liberals have declared permanently off-limits
In the process, they've ironically deprived ppl from any vocabulary to actually articulate what they do or don't want within the moment, since every desire comes already pre-packaged in a compulsory respect of the other person's choices
The problem with liberalism in general, is that it forces you to pretend a perfect knowledge of your desires- when really this is the work of a lifetime
