I've spent years working on good government issues and against @ALEC_states, so let me start by saying always be suspicious of any org that wants to just hand out form legislation. Form legislation often advances an agenda divorced from the needs or wants of actual constituents.
Not all form legislation is bad. Can be inspiration and no need to reinvent the wheel. But @ALEC_states goes further and provides a ready-made conservative legislative agenda for lawmakers meaning an unelected shadow org is driving national policy, rubber stamped by GOP reps
But GOP reps aren't alone. @ALEC_states form legislation has been introduced in almost every state legislature - by both Democrats and Republicans.
@ALEC_states greatest hits include: Stand Your Ground, Right-To-Work, limiting corporate liability for harm, banning cities from enacting stricter gun laws, anti-Sanctuary City laws, withdrawal from regional climate change initiatives, denying fracking fluid contents disclosure

TL;DR @ALEC_states provides form pro-corporation, anti-union, anti-gun sense, anti-voting, anti-environment, anti-social safety net legislation to lawmakers and they are targeting our new legislators nationwide.
