The Obama administration bombed Libya, approved a "surge" in Afghanistan and tried, unsuccessfully, to keep more troops in Iraq (Biden negotiated the failed SOFA).

The Obama administration had two years of full Democrat control of Congress and didn't pass immigration reform, then imposed DACA via Executive Order later and likely unconstitutionally.

Facts.

The Obama administration kept Guantanamo Bay open as a military prison throughout eight years in charge of the executive branch. It is still open and holding prisoners today.

Fact.

12 years after Obama was first elected, it warrants hope that some of those policies look flatly absurd today, showing how our political environment has improved.

It is also a cautionary tale of how power can be squandered.

I hope a Biden administration will show more courage.
