It is worth saying and repeating that we are enduring massive nationwide COVID spikes not long after our president* traveled the country having unmasked superspreader rallies that caused surges in their wake and whose ripples may have culminated in this wave. #DonnieCovidseed

This isn’t a joke or a political gotcha. In addition to completely rejecting his duty to protect Americans — while ignoring planning and protocol! — Trump went around the country both spreading misinformation about the coronavirus AND spreading the *actual fucking coronavirus.*

The White House ALONE has had more cases than some COUNTRIES. Then they go bopping around the country like COVID gremlins. It’s not just a failure — it’s willful malevolence, it’s actual harm done. History must reckon with this spectacular selfishness and monstrosity.

For the record I am not suggesting a single cause — yeah we gotta reckon with Sturgis and Halloween and such. But you can’t ignore that after his rallies, cases rose — and this virus isn’t just 1:1. It spreads easily and exponentially when allowed to.

ESPECIALLY among people who have been told even basic PPE is both ineffective and an assault on their individual liberty. The lies, the conspiracies, aaaaaggh. JFC.

It’s not just his failure, of course — the GOP as a whole is Trump, and Trump is the GOP. They cast doubt on science and fact and pretend the virus is a political invention designed by liberals to quash your freedoms — while the actual virus surges, sickening and killing folk.
