It looks like El Paso had 32 additional COVID-19 deaths yesterday. It's hard to know for sure because the city takes weeks or months to confirm a death. That's why I track the change in deaths under investigation. 1/
El Paso announced 29 COVID-19 deaths today, but said those deaths occurred from first week of October through first week of November. Number of deaths under investigation went from 367 Wednesday to 370 Thursday. The 29 newly announced deaths likely were in Wednesday's count. 2/
So when you subtract the 29 announced deaths from the deaths under investigation, that yields a net change of 32 deaths. So that's the number of been going with to approximate daily death totals in El Paso. 3/
