Finnish state mandated trans healthcare system is not designed to help trans and non-binary people, but to erase and kill us. Arbitrary rules push gender minorities to hide their mental health issues and not seek help for their problems, because it may cost the most vital help.
Trans clinics can decide not to give you treatment on basis of mental health issues, even if your mental health issues are directly linked (or even caused) by the lack of care you need.
Imagine having to weight between help for your depression or access to trans healthcare.

Untreated mental health problems then cause insufferable amounts of pain, I know it as a woman whose depression, OCD and anxiety went untreated for several years. I fucking bet so many of us are left completely drained of energy and with job, housing and money issues.

It is proven by peer-reviewed studies that the best treatment to trans person's issues is what I call trans healthcare: a mix of HRT, surgeries and other treatments like voice therapy based on the needs of the individual.
Basic understanding of causality is enough to figure out where's the mistake when we are then denied these treatments. We often view trans healthcare as _the_ single most important health issue for us, and for a reason: leave it untreated, and nothing else matters.
Just listen to us, folks.

P. S. What I forgot to add, is that it also pushes trans people not to seek professional medical aid in the case if they do self-harm. It can push you away from the treatments you need, that you have to wait for several years in the best case. That can be extremely dangerous.
