I love the holidays. I love music and lights and annual traditions and movies and celebrating and especially choosing perfect gifts for people I love...
but yesterday the juxtaposition of people flocking to the malls (and Winners) and stuffing carts full of stuff ahead of the lockdown deadline--shoulder to shoulder in a pandemic--meanwhile I stopped by local restaurant and the owner came out to say thank you for ordering a salad
We have the real chance to rethink our approach to the holidays. What is really important, what isn't, and I really hope we take this opportunity to do it.
I'm going to have to change a whole bunch of things about my approach to the season, but I think this is the perfect time.
