I know this has been discussed before but to my constant disappointment vinyl (re)releases and deluxe editions still do sometimes lack a few basic elements for €25+ . For that price I’d like to have: (a thread, you can add your wishes, too)
1. A booklet containing readable lyrics. Your handwriting may look nice and red letters on blue background may be a creative approach too, but it’s not working for its main function. And, 20 additional pictures in the booklet instead do not add listening value.
2. A download code. Yes, I’ve chosen a vinyl copy but outside my house (e.g. in the car) I’d love to listen to a file copy, too. It just takes too long to get the turntable in the car working properly.
3. Mastered for vinyl. Just to use the CD master for the analog vinyl does not make real sense. And yes, even my old damaged ears hear the difference.
4. Fitted inner sleeves. Sick of replacing the standard white or black ones that don’t have any real protecting ability.
5. *may just be a personal wish* I like Hype stickers but I hate that some are superglued to the wrapping that’s it’s impossible to peel them off in one piece. Seems not to be an impossible task for at least some labels.
