Back in March 2020, when IPL was postponed - there were many on social media who sniggered and some even “laughed” without realising what it means to many many people. With no sports in sight, I felt my career was over - and I’m sure I wasn’t the only one who felt that way!
Surely, one wouldn’t mock or celebrate someone else’s misfortune- something our great scriptures have taught us. But still there are people like that...
Now that we have managed to stage the tournament in such trying circumstances, it only strengthens my belief that the good always triumphs in the end and that there is someone above who is watching and looking after us!
Remember always - a cancellation of any event - in any industry - impacts thousands of jobs, livelihoods and incomes! For you it must only be an event on TV, for us it is a lot dearer!
I will always be grateful that the IPL 2020 happened! It has come as a massive blessing...
With that, I hope and pray that all those impacted by Covid-19 get their livelihoods and jobs back! Not only that but work that makes their lives fulfilling and happy! God bless us all...
