1st Reflection: According to a study, most organisational problems were linked to oversights from Boards.

Many of these issues resonate as challenges for people working on Boards in the charity and third sector.
How do we respond?

- Discipline ourselves to create the space to talk.
- Create time to join the dots.
Vyla asks these questions:

1. How effective do you feel you personally are in contributing to effective conversation in the board room?
2. How effective do you feel you personally are in contributing to the management of effective conversations in the board room?
3. How do you drive change in your organisation?
Ask yourself these two questions when answering the above questions.

1. what is the benefit of what I feel I'm doing?

2. What is the cost?
Diversity on the Board:

We are better equipped at making better choices and leading positive change when we engage with the communities we serve - @VylaRollins

Pay attention to the process you use to engage Boards on tasks like problem solving...

Think about the individual and group behaviours that manifest when you implement these changes
"How to survive and thrive in the current pandemic is a great example of adaptive challenge" - @VylaRollins

"Being in an authority role is not the same as leadership - leadership is a behaviour that manifests from every level of the system" - @VylaRollins

"People don't fear change, the fear loss" - @VylaRollins

This is the difficulty organisations come up against when dealing with challenges and trying to implement adaptive changes.
