Tonight my mom got everyone in my family on a zoom call for me to announce that I passed my last board exam of med school /1
I had so many emotions seeing my grandparents (who were born in 1938) tell me about how surreal it was for them to see me go through this process /2
We laughed, we smiled, we cried, we prayed. It was a beautiful time /3
I shared with them my goals in medicine and they had no idea I even thought about these things. I loved sharing my passion with them. /4
All of their sacrifices and support are culminating soon! /5
They reminded me of how I never quit even when things get tough /6
And it ended with my mom, a retired RN telling me something I’ll never forget: /7

I love my family and I appreciate them supporting me through this journey /9
