My mom wants to host a "small engagement party" when we're home in December.

The thing is... Of course I WANT to have the party...

But... You know... Pandemic
Genuinely excited for my grandchildren to talk about how their grandparents were so in love they got married during a pandemic and couldn't have a real wedding and hold us up as an example of real love....
Because I grew up on those stories about wartime grandparents, but now that we're living in a similar moment everyone is like "bUt YoU neED to HAvE a ReAl WeDdINg!"
Like so many people seem confused that my priority is our marriage and not the wedding or everyone's feelings regarding their invitation to the wedding....
Like @thekid_suds asked me to marry him... not throw a huge wedding together...
