I hardly ever watch Republic TV's shows. But, yesterday night I did. I'd not expected issues like Palghar sadhu murder case, or suicides of 2 ST conductors because of non-payment of salary, or land dealings of the T family with N family to be brought up publicly. But, they were.
Panelists also asked what action will be taken against the vindictive politicians, police officers and judiciary members who facilitated Arnab's illegal arrest. Sameet Thakkar's issue was brought up.
I don't expect any other media house to do all of this anywhere else in the country, much less sitting in a Mumbai studio itself. If some of the common citizens can't notice that all this makes arrogant and corrupt politicians and other powers that be unconformable, and
instead want to focus only on the sound meter's decibel readings from his shows, then I'm afraid they are missing woods for sound made by tree leaves' rustling.
For years, I've been getting the news - that I believe matters - directly / indirectly from tiwtter.
For years, I've been getting the news - that I believe matters - directly / indirectly from tiwtter.
And, that's because I know there is a certain kind of events / incidents that will never make to the mainstream media because of the tight control of cronyist Ecosystem. But yesterday night I saw all those topics being discussed. We're not there yet, but Republic network is...
...the closest than any other competitor to taking up causes that matter to any tax paying, nationalistic Hindu who is not a Hinduphobe. My point is not to defend Republic's high decibel levels. My point is not to support each and every ideological bent of Republic network.
My point is just to highlight what Republic has managed is truly unprecedented, radical, revolutionary, and most of it is good for common citizens. Please don't throw away with bath water also the baby because it cries louder than you would like.
