Mentors motivate you. They provide external accountability and an outside perspective you may not have considered. It’s like the best of a personal trainer, therapist, and career coach. (2/9)
When you have good chemistry with your mentor, awesome things happen. Look for someone you “click” with that has some life experiences in common with your aspirations. For example, they’re at the top of the DFIR field and you want to be too. (Like @hacks4pancakes 😊) (3/9)
Good mentors help you set realistic goals and hold you accountable. And most importantly, they don’t discourage you. Look for someone that lifts you up - not puts you down. With incremental goal setting and your mentor holding you accountable - you’re gonna get unstuck! (4/9)
