Water is necessary for the activities of Praan. Our speech reflects sharpness and mind works properly because of foodgrains. The mind becomes dull and slow due to lack of food. Therefore Ashwini Kumars are asked to provide that sanctity, piousness and purity.

Mind is necessary for active thought process, just like when we read a sentence in Ved, we think over it. It means if we think that the world is कार्य(to do a particular work) then what is the reason behind it. We need a stable mind to think so.
