I’m going to guess the M1 mini will hit 1700/7000 on Geekbench. Putting it’s multi core just ahead of any Intel MBP but significantly below any serious desktop machine. Single core is going to match anything else out there and spank Apple’s underclocked desktop CPUs.
Here’s an M1 Mac Mini. Did Apple seriously lower the base frequency vs the MBA/MBP?

So the M1 is 4 A14 cores that runs at 3.2GHz instead of 3.0GHz. In PC terms the performance is very similar to the brand new 65W $300 6 core AMD 5600X. In Mac terms its a bit slower than the $6k 8 core 2019 Mac Pro.
Compute scores are great for integrated graphics, just don’t go comparing it to any kind of modern dedicated GPU.
Before you run out and get the latest shiny just remember.
1. 16GB of RAM, you can live with it, but do you want to?
2. There will be software that won’t work right away.
3. You’ll have to use Big Sur version .0.
4. Apple almost has to release a M1X sometime early next year.
