Soup from the wee hatch at the back of the old social club in Mourneview. Loved it
When I was about 7-10 years old, my uncle and grandfather would be in the social at Seaview after the match, and 3 packets of crisps and 3 bottles of coke would be sent out to me, my brother and my cousin as we waited outside on Vincent St.😂
Crowd violence
The soup at the airport end of Castlereagh Park Ards, was always tasty.😋
Smell of someone smoking a pipe.
The pre- match pint at most ground.
Wee bar facing the gates at Portadown, Mourneview was a smashing club, Severn St pigeon club, bluemen men upstairs, glenmen downstairs 😂😂
Midget gems, we used to buy a quarter on the way to the matches to throw at the linesman on our side lol
Train from Lisburn and hiding under seats to avoid conductor
Those microwave cheeseburgers from the wee shop beside the players entrance at The Oval. Lifted the skin off the roof of your mouth every time..... Still got one every home game though....
Early 90's poker school at the back of the bus going to away matches....I never played but it was always entertaining to watch.
Loved the wee bar under the South Stand 😂. My granda used to drink there with all his mates and I'd go along with him. Bottle of coke and Tayto Crisps and this was before the smoking ban. Used to love the smell of pipe smoke and cigar smoke
Used to walk round the KOP with my granda and meet my dad there as he was usually working Saturday mornings. Before it even got to half time my granda was back in the bar 😂.
Remember these old guys smoking cigars in the first half, sat in front of us. Then they too went back to the bar. Used to meet him after the match and in later years watch final score. Passed away in January 2006 and any time I'm at a match I remember him.
Then when there was a 'big' match on the early kick off on a Saturday I'd be treated to the Viewing Lounge and a box of chips from the wee kitchen beside the lounge. Remember wee Davy used to work at it, still see him around Finaghy/Taughmonagh, he hasn't changed a bit
bar under south stand at halftime and full time, a lot of the time I don't think my dad seen a ball kicked because he was in the downstairs bar. So I would always ask him to describe the goals which he had said he had seen
Shamrock Park 1980s.
Used to be a wee brick hut food kiosk, to the side of the old Shed.
Favourite half time snack was Soup & nuts lol
Cup of soup, with a packet of kp salted peanuts nuts poured into it. 😋
Older Portadown fans will know what I mean.
Getting a couple of mouth fulls of my granda pint in the bar under the south stand before the match and at half time. Those where the days in the bar under the south stand
Undercooked chips in the Shed End at Clandeboye Park!
Getting a lift over the turnstiles, or sneaking under them, depending on the ground.
No crowd restrictions and pay at the gate especially at boxing day derbies, 10,000 at shamrock Park, or 10,000 at mournview Park before the new stands were built, same at Windsor and the bomb crater....here'll never be crowds or atmospheres like those at irish league games again
Going to Beatties on Tates avenue before the game and queuing outside the tiny club shop which later became my sisters house 😉
Omagh towns St Julian Road for their social club which wasn't even at the ground, it was probably the worst ground I've been at, or Ballyclare fc the best social club in the country, Windsor park when we took over the spion cop the atmosphere there was unbelievable. I could go on
Best bar at an IL old ground was the wee ‘press box’ at the railway end of Seaview. Up the wooden steps, not much bigger than your front room, big glass front window to watch the match and I never saw any press in it when we travelled there to play the Crues!! 😂👍😎
I would have had Jelly sweets or wine gums as I have a very sweet tooth.🦷🦷
Changing ends at halftime 😜
thief 😂😜

wee tin of coke in the bar under south stand, heading to bar under the viewing lounge towards end of game and running into the old disabled part when you heard a commotion incase someone scored
, watching everyone getting into their seats in the old directors box thinking they were celebrities, heading to my uncles bar after the game to put sash mysterious times on the jukebox
leaning too far over at ballyskeagh and falling onto the dog track, got trailed by the scruff 🙈
