As you know I've been documenting the Scottish independence movement for quite some time now, nearly always concentrating on individuals rather than the collective. Given recent sustained polling it's looking like a case of when, not if.

I'm hoping my archive is one of many that will attain historic value, allowing future generations to see the diversity of the movement that left them an independent country.
For that reason, and to be more reflective, i'm aiming to capture a far wider section of the movement

Such as those behind the grassroots organisations, new media, prominent activists (online or otherwise), ethnic minority groups, cross party groups, and those who spend their free time pushing the indy message.

Idea is to take environmental portraits, ideally at a location saying something about who you are, possibly giving your lifestyle, career, interests, or how you conduct your activism a bit of context - a snapshot of your personality.

I realise, given we are in the middle of a pandemic, that this may prove difficult. However, with a bit of careful planning, and working within government guidance, I'm sure we can make it work without compromising anyone's safety.

I've been asked on several occasions what the plans are for this work - ideally a book, and that's something i will push for once we've won our independence.
