Before I dig into this: I am a Democrat, not a socialist. An actual Democrat. While no one is near perfect, the Democratic platform aligns with with my beliefs. However, I am not blind, there's room for comprehensive change. With that said, the party is being split by idiots..
When the Squad won elections, it was initially interesting to see these women win seats. My hope was that there would be an apprenticeship period, learning from veteran politicians. Washington is a treacherous place that consumes the naive. So, I waited. Then..
First day near Pelosi's office, foolery. Like or not, Nancy Pelosi is a strong politician that fights Republicans with a No F**** Given attitude. She looks at the long game, instead of the quick fix. Yet, the disrespect off the bat was a harbinger of things to come.
For decades, AOC's district has been solidly blue. She defeated a veteran congressmen. Here's the thing: the low turnout during that primary.

How can you assume to understand voter turnout when you when a primary when less than a quarter of the voters show? But, she won.
This is the late Michigan Rep. Charles Diggs. He was the only congressman to watch Emmett Till being laid to rest. The only one. Also, one of the founders of the Congressional Black Caucus. The CBC has fought tooth and nail for Black constituents. Now..

“There is going to be a war within the party. We are going to lean into it,” said Waleed Shahid

Justice Dems spokesman. While the GOP builds, these dorks want conflict.
Bernie Sanders caught two asswhoopings election-wise and yet this..

Make it make sense.

Abby Spanberger flipped Eric Cantor's old House seat, the Virginia 7th in 2018. She never mentioned defunding the police, yet her opponent seized the message and she barely held on.
I am a Democrat, not a socialist.
A Lewis/Cummings/Chisholm/Obama/Harris Democrat. The socialist wing has shown their asses. You don't spit in the face of those whose shoulders we stand on. As such, I will match your respect, but will exceed your disrespect. Every day.
