I've covered Philadelphia elections for decades. Yes, fraud happens once in a while – usually a handful of votes stolen in a local race at one or two polling places. It leaves a paper trail, and those cases are often prosecuted.
The worst case was an extremely close state senate election overturned by a federal judge ago 27 years ago after absentee ballot fraud. That led to changes in the state election code.
The people tallying votes in this presidential election are civil servants who aren’t likely to risk their jobs and pensions, not to mention felony arrest, by monkeying around with returns in a closely-watched count.
When the Trump campaign or their Pennsylvania Republican allies bring a specific allegation of fraud to court, it should be considered.
Meanwhile, listen to the Philadelphia Republican election official (who has uncovered cases of vote-stealing) speak with conviction and emotion about the integrity of the count in this election.
