Muriel Mina English was a hospital secretary and motor ambulance driver who photographed her war-time experiences. Gordon Stokes, who served with the British Army, collected mass-market postcards to share the effects of war with his fiancé and family back home. The York Veteran’s Social Welfare Club collected accounts of soldiers and widows from Toronto who continued to live with trauma. William Thomas Clements was honoured for his service with a book presumably made by his parents.
