Spanking is not effective. Physical pain should never be used as a tool teach ANYONE a lesson...especially a child with no impulse control. It’s detrimental to a child's psychological and social development. It’s counterproductive. https://twitter.com/damekayla/status/1326331555380420608
It boggles me how anyone could ever justify how it’s okay to inflict pain (a pop, spanking, tap, etc.) to fix a child’s behavior.

People advocate against violence in every area except for children. It’s heartbreaking.
Imagine if people said this instead instead hiding under the guise of, “I turned out fine.”
By the way, the brain doesnt distinguish between a pop or a spanking. It's all stress and it all effects the nervous system.
@DrStaceyPatton is filled with tons of data and research of the detrimental effects of spanking and goes over the history of how it originated.

Kids (Black kids in particular) deserve so much better, y’all.
