What Florida State is this season should not come as a surprise. This is a program with so many layers of problems that have to be fixed, it is impossible for a new coach to wave a want and fix it all. This will take YEARS to fix and the required patience to get it done.
James Blackman DID NOT deserve to get booed last Sat. What that young man has done for this program should be applauded, not jeered. He was asked to save a season as a true freshman; he played under 4 different OCs; he is the consummate teammate; and NEVER ONCE did he complain.
Is it frustrating that he threw too many INTs and could never turn a corner? Yes. But consider what Blackman was asked to do from the outset of his career, and he did nothing but put the team first at all times. Both he and FSU need a fresh start -- I hope he gets that chance.
