The sacrifice of Jesus for the sins of the world was not made in time, it was made outside of time, at the end of the ages so it can include every single sin man can and would ever commit. [Hebrews 9:26]
Let's be logical here a bit, if Jesus died to pay only for your past sin, then you cannot be a Christian now, because at the time that Jesus died, your first sin was yet to be committed hence was in the future
... He then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.

Dear believer, Jesus died to pay for all your sins; past, present and future!! It is not a license to sin, like John would say in 1John 2:1, i tell you this so you would not sin, but If you sin, we have redemption from Christ our Lord, who is our advocate
