I am - and have been for several months - researching the history of Christianity in America. I’ve come to the conclusion that we have excelled at a number of things but none as exceedingly well as fighting.

I’d like to report that we have had more splits than an eighteen wheeler of Chiquita bananas.

I’ll also report that every active faction claimed the Bible as its own. These are early findings so allow me room for error but I have a sneaking suspicion...
1. We’re not actually reading the Bible.
2. We appear to be missing the Holy Spirit.
3. We exploit Jesus shamelessly.
