Swung by my old stomping grounds @WestParkKamms and I'm happy to report there's still so much to love about this CLE neighborhood. Thread ... 1/
The strip along Lorain Ave has some great old architecture and is well kept, with benches and nice landscaping complete with lights on the trees. 2/
They have always, and still do, offer a super interesting and eclectic mix of local shops. Starship earth is so out there and one of my faves, @OnlyInClevOH has some cool custom apparel ... and can't believe Gino's is still there! 3/
They also have some really fantastic local eateries here @hatfieldpork @soupermarketCLE http://siseniormexicangrill.com http://thaielephantohio.com . 4/
And of course, a pretty well known and fun bar scene with great outdoor patios ... had many late nights here back in the day!

As well as my favorite diner on the planet, Gene's Place which is open daily! (Kudos on the "Pedal to Kamm's Plaza" bike rack!) 6/
But, there are still plenty of issues including very busy and not so safe roadways, non-existant bike lanes, vacant historical buildings, lack of public art, etc. Definitely room for improvement. 7/
With that said, West Park / Kamms is one of Cleveland proper's best neighborhoods and I hope to see continued investment to make sure future generations enjoy growing up here as much as I did!
