DIY Home Improvement Rabbit Hole:

1. Take down storm window to replace broken pane
2. Drive to Lowe's to pick up new sheet of glass that Lowe's will cut to size for me
3. Glass cutting machine @ Lowes is "broken"
4. Go to Home Depot next door
5. They don't cut glass

6. And furthermore, the HD associate says neither Lowe's nor Home Depot cuts glass any more
7. Drive back home dejected
8. Research alternatives for glass acquisition
9. Call to get quotes from glass shops and other area Lowe's (maybe HD lady is wrong??)

10. Lowe's = varied results; some stores won't answer phone. Other stores = glass cutting machine also "broken"
11. Small chains: finally found 1 place that will provide glass but it's 2x the price & will need to order ahead of time
12. Order the glass from Lowe's for pickup

13. Lowe's calls and says "Glass is all over the place. I assume you don't want this glass, right?" Lol, no.
14. Glass mgr will call me back re: details to replace glass order for pickup soon
15. I forget about it, never get a call & 6 days later I have no refund nor glass

16. I spend 40 minutes on e-chatting and phone calls tracking down refund. "Refund is in the mail" - the physical crappy USPS mail :( . For an internet order. Placed in 2020. :/

tl;dr: One week later I have a disassembled storm window on the back porch, no glass and no $

Next time I'll just bulldoze the house and rebuild from scratch because it'll be quicker and easier! 😃
